When I want to relax

I hit the gym or do cross word puzzles.

My hobbies

Reading and going to the gym.

A weird fact about me

The first time I boiled an egg in my life was at the ripe age of 31.

This is how I became a member of #avanceteam

I actually started my career as a tech and data protection lawyer, however, that was a rather short stint before doing a complete 180 and transitioning from nonconcrete to concrete matters (pun very much intended). I worked at another law firm for a couple of years after graduation and later joined Avance in 2021 as a result of a good friend and a current colleague recommending Avance to me and I haven’t looked back since.

Memorable moments during my career at Avance

It is difficult to name only one or even two, although plenty of funny and memorable “war stories” from work assignments exist. Completing a project, especially if the process of getting there has been long and challenging, is always incredibly satisfactory. On the other hand, receiving a heartfelt and sincere thank you from a client for good work also sticks with you for a long time. In addition, my secondment at a Swedish law firm in Stockholm was definitely a great and memorable experience.

I enjoy my time at Avance because

I get to work with such smart and creative professionals every day who make the everyday work fun.

I want to work with real estate matters at Avance because

I am passionate about my work and find it incredibly interesting and exciting. With such supportive and bright colleagues as well as clients who are both inspiring and fun to work with, there is no better place to do what I do than at Avance.

My typical day at work

Working with real estate is typically of project nature and a project may be anything from a more traditional real estate transaction or lease agreement negotiations to a construction and development of a particular real estate. Although there are no set routines in my workdays, as each project is different, my days typically include some form of drafting of documents and meetings with clients. I also take part in the firm’s internal development matters and some days may therefore include, e.g. tutoring younger lawyers, trainee recruitment matters or health and safety committee meetings.

Some of my unusual days at work

Sometimes days in the real estate team may include navigating potential or already existing disputes between parties that stem from real estate related matters, such as past transactions or lease agreements. In that case it is important to work closely with our dispute resolution team to ensure the best possible outcome for our client.
