Avance partner Mikko Alkio handed over his report titled "Terveysteknologia- ja lääketutkimus Suomen kasvun tukijalkana" ("Health Technology and Pharmaceutical Research as the Mainstay of Finnish Growth") to the Ministry of Labor and the Economy on 4 December 2012. Mr. Alkio was tasked by the Ministry to assess how to improve the utilization of the strong knowledge base created by long-term investments in Finnish health technology and pharmaceutical industries. Further, the report addressed and provided guidance on the growing need for public-private partnerships in health technology and pharmaceutical research and innovation.
