Avance advises Hemsö in the acquisition of the Kymenlaakso Psychiatric Hospital in Kouvola from Kymsote (joint municipal authority for Kymenlaakso social and health services). Kymsote will continue to run the hospital and has signed a 20-year lease agreement.
The hospital has an area of 8,800 sqm and was completed in 2006. It has five adult wards, one children’s outpatient clinic, one children and young people’s ward and one unit for functional rehabilitation.
After the transaction, Hemsö already owns about 185,000 sqm of hospital and health care properties in Finland.
