Avance advises a consortium led by Tencent, a global leading internet company, in the acquisition of approx. 84% of Finnish mobile game maker Supercell Oy from Japanese telecoms and internet company Softbank affiliates, certain employee shareholders and certain former employees of Supercell. The acquisition values Supercell at approx. USD 10.2 billion, making the transaction the largest divestment in Finnish corporate history.

Tencent, the largest internet company in Asia, has significant activities in the media, entertainment and internet industries. Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Tencent is also an important player in the game industry with significant stakes in, e.g., Riot Games, Epic Games and Activision Blizzard.
