Avance advises Terex Corporation, a global manufacturer of materials processing machinery and aerial work platforms, in the acquisition of Helsinki-based ZenRobotics Ltd, a global leader in smart robotic recycling. The company designs and creates robots that pick, sort, and recycle waste material. ZenRobotics will retain its name and become a Terex brand.
The transaction is a prime example of distressed M&A, as ZenRobotics had filed for bankruptcy before it was acquired by Terex and the seller was the bankruptcy estate.
